Salt and Stone

About

Garam's curiosity in pottery first began while browsing through Pottery Barn's catalogs. She dreamed of one day reaching new heights to showcase designs she's developed over the years. In 2015, she made the decision to move to New York City and from there, she set up her own studio where her curiosity transformed into her passion.

Exploring the bustling restaurant scene in the city inspired Garam to add her own design and flair to the ceramic world around her. She started developing hand-crafted ceramic pieces with tableware as the first line of products she officially introduced under Salt and Stone.

All pieces come to life in Garam's Brooklyn studio, but what makes it all so charming is how she envisions the life of these items once they enter their owners' spaces. Whether delicately set at every table of your local eatery, in the cabinet of your favorite coffee mugs, or holding the plant that you were gifted by that special loved one, Salt and Stone values the sentiment these pieces of pottery can add to someone's life. Each handmade and one-of-a-kind artisan piece is molded with precise attention to detail and fine craftsmanship.

The life lessons (along with new pottery techniques) that she's learned along the way have shaped her creative and tactical approach. She revels in expressing herself through the endless possibilities of her work and creating modern home goods.
